Trick or Treat!!

Halloween greetings from Alabama! We made our way up to North Alabama on Saturday to stay for the week. We have planned to do several things while we are here--celebrate Kate's birthday, Nick will be traveling to the football game of the year, the LSU/AL game on Saturday and we were excited that Kate and Emily would get to trick or treat with their cousins. Last year Kate didn't really trick or treat, we just went to the neighborhood block party so it was great that she got to go with some older cousins this year so that she could see what it was all about. We went over to Aunt Anna and Uncle Jason's house to get ready and make a little trick or treating trip around their neighborhood with Mary Emma, Daniel, Connor and Liza. Kate had a blast!! She had fun playing before trick or treating and once she figured out what trick or treating was all about she got into it too. Kate was a little skiddish at the first house but once she figured out all she had to say was "Chuh chuh teet" (trick or treat) and somebody gave her candy she was running up to the door of the next house. Emily was snuggled up in her flower costume and walked around with Momma enjoying being outside. We had a great first trick or treating experience and will be excited to share more from our week in Alabama in more posts to come!
